 IBP Volunteers

  • IBP needs about 250 volunteers...read how to do this below:

  1. Figgure out what areas need volunteers and how many are needed PER HOUR at each location.
  2. Make an official volunteer binder.  Each area gets a separate page with hour time slots and then the number of volunteers each hour.

3:00-4:00

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

This binder is helpful when signing people up, as well as making it clear as to what areas need to be filled.

  1. Send e-mails out to all Birthright lists, as well as make individual phone calls to the birthright participants.
  2. Send out one targeted e-mails asking for volunteers to everyone you know (all lists, freshmen, greeks)
  3. After all slots in each area  are filled create a spread sheet
    1. Include:

                                                               i.      Name (first and last)

                                                             ii.      Time of volunteer shift

                                                           iii.      Area of volunteering

                                                            iv.      E-mail

                                                              v.      Phone number

  1. Print out several versions of the list,
    1. Alabetical by name
    2. By time slot
    3. By volunteer area
  2. Set up volunteer check booth at the front of block party
  3. High light volunteers as the come in.  Give them tee-shirt and food tickets.
